Event Information

The San Francisco Classic will take place in the historic Cow Palace located in Daly City/San Francisco, CA on Friday, January 12 - Sunday, January 14, 2018.  The Cow Palace is unique in the fact it's parking lot straddles the city limits of Daly City and San Francisco.  The Cow Palace is only 10 minutes from the San Francisco airport.

This competition will be featuring all levels of women's gymnastics for USA Gymnastics Levels 1-10/Open and Xcel.  All participants will receive a FREE event gift leotard provided by Destira.  

Registration INFORMATION and Deadlines

HOLD YOUR SPOT AND REGISTER ONLINE AT WWW.ALLGYMNASTICS.COM.  Register now and pay by the entry deadline of December 1, 2017.  Credit card payments will be accepted online.  Check payments will be accepted by mailing a check payable to USA Sports Production (add SFC to the memo line) to: San Francisco Classic 2018, 1160 E. Washington, #29185, Indianapolis, IN  46229

Any fees received after the December 1st deadline date will be accessed a $10.00 per gymnast late fee.  A full refund will be given if cancelled in writing by December 8th. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER DECEMBER 8, 2017. 

Your AllGymnastics account will work for all USA Sports Production competitions and other competitions listed on the website.  Create an account and set-up your team roster and then just click the boxes for the gymnasts attending.  You may make changes to your roster up to the final deadline of December 8th.  Any roster changes after the refund deadline should be sent directly to lbarclay@usasportsproduction.com.  

 

GRADUATING SENIORS - will be recognized during awards for their specific session.  If you have a graduating senior please send an email to lbarclay@usasportsproduction.com and include a short bio to be read during the recognition.  If we do not receive notice of your senior or their bio by the competition deadline we cannot guarantee recognition or special awards at the competition.

GIFT LEOTARDS

Each gymnast participating in the 2018 San Francisco Classic will receive a Destira gift leotard.  Sizing forms are due with your final roster by December 1, 2017. 

Coaches and Parents: We will not be able to exchange sizes of leotards during the competition. Please be sure that you input the correct Destira leotard size when registering gymnasts.   Athletes who scratch before December 8, 2017 and receive a refund for their entry fee will not receive a complimentary gift leotard. All gift leotards must be picked up during the competition. We will not be able to mail leotards after the competition.

 

Participation and Registration Fees

All USA Gymnastics women's program athlete members are eligible to compete at the San Francisco Classic for individual and team titles. The following levels will be contested at these Championships:

Level 1 - 5 / Xcel Bronze-Silver-Gold

The Cow Palace charges a $10 parking fee for all vehicles with no in and out privileges.

Competition Format

The 2018 San Francisco Classic will consist of a modified capitol cupl format for all levels. 

Team Competition

Registration for the team competition is FREE.  All teams with three (3) or more gymnasts per level will be automatically entered into the team competition.  Team rankings will be determined by the total of the top three (3) scores from each event.

Teams with more than 10 team members will be separated into different groups and start on different events and possibly different sessions. It will be necessary to provide a minimum of 2 coaches with team members over 10 members.  

Awards

Event placement medals will be given for half of the age group up to 10 places and 100% All-Around.  Gymnasts will be recognized on the awards stand.   First place All-Around winners will receive a special all-around award. 

Team awards will be awarded to 1st to 3rd place teams for all sessions and all levels.

Miscellaneous Competition Details

A. All current rules of USA Gymnastics J.O. Program and Xcel Program will be used for all USAG levels of competition.  USAG Xcel levels will follow the National Guidelines as outlined on the USA Gymnastics website.

B. Floor Exercise Music: CDs, MP3 and ipods/ipads will be accepted for this competition. Coaches are responsible for bringing their gymnast's music cued to the designated music table in competition order. The coach is responsible for giving the Music Coordinator the start cue. All Floor Exercise music must be clearly marked with the Athlete's first name, last name and team name.
